CHARLESTON - Jemorrio Antonio Betts, 20, died May 9, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born July 16, 1983, in Sikeston, son of William Henry and Mary Louise Parker Betts of Charleston, he was a 2002 graduate of Charleston High School where he was a member of the basketball team. He attended Lane College in Jackson, Tenn., and was enrolled at Lincoln University in Jefferson City.
Survivors in addition to his parents include: three brothers, Kevin Parker of Sikeston and William McCauley and Lonnie Lawrence of Chicago; two sisters, Patricia Tyus of Decatur, Ill., and Denise Webster of Detroit; his grandmother, Mary Francis Parker of Sikeston; and his maternal great-grandmother, Mary Williamson of Sikeston.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston. The Rev. Victor Williams will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
