DEXTER - Elfreda Mae Crane, 83, died Feb. 10, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.

Born July 17, 1918, in Dexter, daughter of the late Henry and Nellie Norman Duley Jr., she was a member of the Church of God in St. Charles. She had been employed by Elder Manufacturing and had been a consultant for Beverly Enterprises before retiring.

On Aug. 10, 1936, at Poplar Bluff, she married Donald E. Crane who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Gary D. Crane of Jackson and James Randy Crane of Palm Desert, Calif.; two half sisters, Dorothy Schell of Peoria, Ill., and Mary Brown of Hanna City, Ill.; four half brothers, Earl Dudley of Maquon, Ill., Carl Duley of Willingsfield, Ill., Junior Duley of Hanna City, Ill., and Ralph Duley of Gates City, Ill.; two stepbrothers, Russell Polen of Jackson and Estell Polen of Gibson, Ill.; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two half brothers, Woodrow E. Gaines and Keith "Smokey" Gaines; one stepbrother, Charles Polen; and one stepsister, Ruth Gettings.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Wayne Dismuke officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
