SIKESTON - Adrian Earl Young, 75, died at 7:07 a.m. Nov. 29, 2004, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born May 6, 1929, in Portageville, son of the late Jesse Earl and Ella May Carson Young, he owned and operated Young's Plumbing and Heating and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon and had also worked with the Boy Scouts of America.
On July 13, 1953, in Portageville, he married Jessie Brown who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sharon Young of Matthews; two daughters and one son-in-law, Theresa and Bruce Vaughn of Terre Haute, Ind., and Lynda Young of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Jaquata Stewart of Portageville; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, will officiate.
The Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard will conduct graveside rites at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
