Bill Evans
MORROW, Ohio - Elvis "Bill" Evans, 83, died Feb. 12, 2002, at the Bethesda North Hospital.
Born Feb. 2, 1919, in Bloomfield, son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Addie Ann Chasteen Evans, he was a welder for General Motors for 30 years before retiring in 1976 and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Morrow VFW, Lebanon American Legion and Lebanon Senior Citizens Group.
His wife, Nora Evans, preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Marilyn Evans Sr. of Sikeston, Mo.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Steve Tumbleson of Blanchester, Ohio, and Deborah and Dan Keith of Morrow; one brother, George Evans of Medford, Ore.; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were two sons, Ronald Evans and James Evans; five brothers, John Evans, Roy Evans, Charlie Evans, Herb Evans and Henry Evans; and six sisters, Ethel Bess, Ivy Stephens, Mary Stevens, Sylvia Lanius, Verde Harper and Retha Asa.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Friday until service time at noon at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home in Morrow.
Burial will follow in the Morrow Cemetery.
