SCOTT CITY - Lloyd John Corvick, Sr., 74, died June 15, 2002, at his home.

Born June 2, 1928, at Fornfelt, son of the late William and Victoria Kern Corvick, he retired as a repeater man with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He served in the U.S. Marines Corps, was a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts, a member of the SEMO Radio Club and Ramsey's Rangers Black Powder Club. He was of the Catholic belief.

On March 5, 1948, at Fornfelt, he married Helen L. Webb who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Marlene Gregory of Oran and Arlene Hartle of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Michelle Corvick of Scott City; two sisters, LaVerne Rogers and Darlene DeLong of Kelso; and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, John Corvick; two daughters Darlene Corvick and one who was stillborn; one brother; and three sisters.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
