Nelson Webb
CAPE GIRARDEAU - Nelson Webb, 80, formerly of Sikeston, died June 18, 2002, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
Born Jan. 9, 1922, in Clayton, Miss., son of the late John and Mattie Mae Funches Webb, he retired as a self-employed farmer.
His wife, Ora Mae Gibson Webb, preceded him in death in 1986.
Survivors include: four sons and three daughters-in-law, Jerry and Kathy Webb and Darryl and Sandy Webb of Sikeston, Earl Webb of Jackson and Norman and Rose Webb of Miner; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Eddie and Willie Douglas, Doris and Nathaniel Grant and Betty Webb of Chicago, Ill., and Katherine Webb of Benton Harbor, Mich.; four brothers, Alphonse Webb of Poplar Bluff, Elmer Webb of St. Louis, C.L. Webb of Memphis, Tenn., and Arthur Webb of Charleston; three sisters, Jewel Ackers of St. Louis, Eunice Mosley of Sikeston and Velma Simms of Anchorage, Alaska; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Charles Webb and Elbert Webb; one brother, Wardell Webb; and one sister, Ressie Webb.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until service time at 10:30 a.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston with Major Clark, officiating.
Burial will follow in Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
