W. Maxine Ancell

CAPE GIRARDEAU - W. Maxine Ancell, 77, died at 7 a.m. July 17, 2002, at the Lutheran Home.

Born Feb. 18, 1925, in Chaffee, daughter of the late Edward Franklin and Audra Leota Patterson Alsobrook, she retired as an insurance clerk for the Cape Girardeau Surgical Clinic and was a member of the First Christian Church in Chaffee.

Survivors include: one son, David Ancell of Section, Ala.; one daughter, Terrie Eldridge of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Kenny Alsobrook of St. Louis; one sister, Mary Verble of Poplar Bluff; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Vyron Yount will officiate.

Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
