SIKESTON - Over 200 fans saw the Sikeston High School Bulldogs bring down the curtain on their 1944 football season at Charleston Thanksgiving Day when they convincingly tromped the Blue Jays 13-0.
SIKESTON - The Rev. Floyd V. Brower will be the guest preacher at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church during the revival which begins Sunday night, Nov. 29, and continues through Dec. 6. Rev. Brower is presently serving as district superintendent of the Poplar Bluff-Sikeston District of the Methodist Church.
SIKESTON - Workers have been taking advantage of dry November weather to continue construction on the $3.1 million Sikeston Middle School project. Randy Senciboy of Oran and Bob Bollinger of Morley, employed by Bridger Construction Co., were working on the facade of the gymnasium on Saturday. The school, located on Salcedo Road, is expected to be completed in the spring of 1985.

NEW MADRID - A graphic illustration provided by the city of New Madrid to officials for Toyota was part of the community's proposal seeking consideration of placement of the plant in the St. Jude Industrial Park.
SIKESTON - The Calvary Temple Women's Ministries has scheduled a holiday chili supper from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the church, Highway 61 N. Tickets are $3.50 for adults, $2 for children 10 and under. The meal will include chili, dessert and drink. Many items will also be available at the mini craft boutique and bake shop.
