SCOTT CITY - Mary Ann Hale, 63, died May 14, 2004, at Scott City.
Born June 6, 1940, in Illmo, daughter of James Franklin and Annie Inez Brock Owen, she was certified as a lumber inspector through the National Hardwood Lumber Association and worked for Havco Wood Products as a lumber grader.
On Jan. 2, 1959, she married Lloyd Lester Hale who preceded her in death on June 11, 1992.
Survivors include: her mother, Inez Owen of Scott City; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Tommy Hale of Scott City, James and Nancy Hale of Millstadt, Ill., Guy and Lori Hale of Scott City and Larry and Mary E. Hale of Shiloh, Ill.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rebecca and Scott Wright of Gordonville and Sharon Macdonald of Scott City; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Linda J. Owen and Kenny and Linda Sue Owen of Scott City; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Louise Dodson and Carol Hale of Scott City and Kathleen and Melvin Enderle of Kelso; and 14 grandchildren, Britne Jones, Tyler Jones, Airelle Carnell, Danielle Owen, Joseph Owen, Kyle Macdonald, Michael Overbey, Kathy Scales, Josh Scales, James F. Gregory, Tori Hale, Haily Hale, Tristan Hale and Shelby Hale.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by one son, Russell Allen Hale.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Rennie Phillips will officiate.
Burial will be in the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
Mom enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
