Bill Wilkerson Jr.

BERTRAND -- Billy Joe "Bill" Wilkerson Jr., 44, died at 9:55 p.m. May 13, 2004, in a motor vehicle accident near Charleston.

Born July 23, 1959, in Sikeston, to Billy Joe and Grace Delk Wilkerson Sr. of Bertrand, he had lived in Bertrand most of his life and was employed as a driver with ABF Trucking Co. in Cape Girardeau.

In 1985, he married Tammie Greenwood who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Mandy Wilkerson of Cape Girardeau and Jessie Wilkerson of New Madrid; four brothers, Bryan Wilkerson of Sikeston, Derrick Wilkerson of Charleston, Eric Dale Wilkerson of Bertrand and Wade Wilkerson of Lovelaceville, Ky.; one sister, Kim Davis of St. Louis; and four nephews and one niece.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Jim Eskew, pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy in Bertrand, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: his brothers, Bryan Wilkerson, Derrick Wilkerson, Eric Wilkerson and Wade Wilkerson; and nephews, Jacob Wilkerson and Brad Boswell.
