PARMA - L.D. Goodman, 60, died July 15, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born June 6, 1942, in Joiner, Ark., son of Jackie Marie Parsons Goodman of Norman, Ark., and the late Amos Lee Goodman, he lived in Arkansas before moving to Parma 34 years ago. He was a retired farmer.

On Dec. 1, 1961, in Joiner, he married Patsy Ann Franks who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: two daughters, Keila Marie Emery of Risco and Vickie Sue Prchal of Parma; one son, Donnie Ray Goodman of Malden; two brothers, Leeman Goodman of Portland, Ore., and Charles Eugene Goodman of Boyd, Texas; five sisters, Lavetra Marie Rich of Meridian, Miss., Margarette Evaline Pruitt of Byhalia, Miss., Mary Jo Hunter of Gaffney, S.C., Latrease Ileane Page of Millington, Tenn., and Quila Ann Goodman of Wright City, Okla.; and seven grandchildren.

One sister, Virginia Sue Goodman, preceded him in death.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Thursday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Stanfield Cemetery near Clarkton.
