Marie Scott

SIKESTON - Marie Scott, 56, died Feb. 28, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Aug. 29, 1946, in Catron, daughter of the late Marshall and Abbie McIntosh Gibbs, she was a lifelong resident of Missouri and member of Smith Chapel Methodist Church.

Her husband, William C. Scott, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Redetta Gibbs and Louise Lillard of St. Louis; three stepdaughters, Liza Williams of Sikeston, Dorothy Ruth Scott of St. Louis and Rose Green of Chicago, Ill.; three stepsons, Glenn Taylor, Walter Scott and William C. Scott Jr. of Sikeston; three sisters, Abbie L. Coffee of Lilbourn, Annie Pearl Tilman of Chicago and Mildred Sinclair of St. Louis; three brothers, Jesse Gibbs and Charles Gibbs of Omaha, Neb., and Julius Gibbs of Atlanta, Ga.; and 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from noon Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at Smith Chapel Methodist Church. The Rev. B. Jordon, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sikeston.
