Kristy Becker
DEXTER - Kristy Lynn Becker, 31, died April 27, 2002, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born June 26, 1970, in Sikeston, daughter of Donald Ray and Geneva Wallace Hastings of Sikeston, she lived in Matthews and Sikeston most of her life before moving to Dexter three years ago. She was a social studies teacher at the T.S. Hill Middle School in Dexter and had taught middle school at New Madrid and at the Kenny Rogers Children's Center in Sikeston. A member of the Missouri State Teachers Association and Little Vine Baptist Church near Matthews, she attended the First Baptist Church in Dexter.
On Feb. 19, 2000, at Runaway Bay, Jamaica, she married Brian Becker who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to her husband and parents include: two sons, Christian Andrew Stallings and Lucas Kyle Andrew Becker of the home; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Don and Angie Hastings II of Matthews and Wallace Hastings of Kewanee; and her maternal grandmother, Violet Wallace of East Prairie.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Martin Lucas of East Prairie and the Rev. Wayne Dismuke of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
