Katherine Watkins

CREVE COEUR -- Katherine Isabel Watkins, 6, died April 26, 2002, of respiratory failure at her home.

Born June 12, 1995, daughter of Jack R. and Genny Gray Watkins Jr., she was a lifelong resident of St. Louis County and a baptized member of the First Presbyterian Church of St. Louis. She was a first-grade student at Highcroft Elementary School in Chesterfield.

Survivors include: paternal grandparents, Jackie R. and Esther Wallen Watkins Sr. of Sikeston; maternal grandparents, Tom and Susan Stalcup Gray of Columbia; three uncles, Nick Watkins of Nashville, Tenn., Matt Strassner of O'Fallon and Matt Gaunt of Columbia; two aunts, Holly Watkins Strassner of O'Fallon and Courtney Gray Gaunt of Columbia; and four cousins, Nickole Watkins of Farmington, Emily Gaunt, Frank Gaunt and Steve Gaunt, all of Columbia.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. till noon Monday at the Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia.

A private family burial will follow at Columbia Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in St. Louis. A reception at the church will follow the service.
