HOWARDVILLE - Lula Mae Dean Neal, 65, died April 22, 2002, at her home.

Born Sept. 30, 1936, in Blytheville, Ark., daughter of the late Grant and Bertha Dean, she lived in Howardville for the past 15 years and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include: one daughter, Yolanda Neal of Howardville; one son, Terry Dean of Lansing, Mich.; two sisters, Dorothy Massengale of Blytheville and Barbara Dean of Lansing; four brothers, Charles Staten of Chicago, Ill., Larry Staten of San Diego, Calif., Danny Staten of St. Louis, Mo., and Leonard Staten of Saginaw, Mich.; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were one son, Carl Neal, and five brothers.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at McDonald Horne Funeral Home in Blytheville.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville with the Rev. L.B. Burton, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Cemetery.
