Lelar Woods

SIKESTON - Lelar F. Woods, 92, died April 23, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Feb. 9, 1910, in New Orleans, La., daughter of the late Dave and Matilda Clark Watson, she was a member of Greer Chapel Baptist Church in Sikeston.

Her husband, Woody Woods, preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Willie Lewis of Rockford, Ill.; one brother, the Rev. William Watson of Sikeston; and nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. Saturday until service time at 2 p.m. at Greer Chapel Baptist Church. The Rev. Roy Bonner will officiate.

Burial will follow in Sunset of Memories Cemetery.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
