Clara Vetter

NEW HAMBURG - Clara H. Vetter, 83, died at 2:55 p.m. April 27, 2002, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 9, 1919, in New Hamburg, daughter of the late Lawrence and Katherine Scherer Bucher, she retired as a utility worker for Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and St. Ann Sodality.

On Jan. 16, 1943, she married Ralph G. Vetter who preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 1980.

Survivors include: two sons, Bob Vetter of Scott City and Randy Vetter of New Hamburg; one daughter, Betty Langston of Jackson; and six grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Tom Vetter, two brothers and four sisters.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where parish prayers are scheduled for 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery at New Hamburg.

Pallbearers will be: Chris Vetter, Justin Vetter, Robby Vetter, Shane Grissom, Mark Andracsek and Mike LeGrand.
