William Bohannon Jr.

SIKESTON - William L. Bohannon Jr., 78, died at 7:08 p.m. Aug. 30, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Sept. 19, 1923, north of Sikeston, son of the late William Lee and Iva Mae Gray Bohannon Sr., he lived in Scott County most of his life.

On Nov. 16, 1946, in Sikeston, he married Willa "Billie" Menz who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, John and Phyllis Bohannon of Sikeston; one daughter, Terry Hutchison of Scott City; six brothers, Clayton Bohannon of Sikeston, Roy Gene Bohannon of Decatur, Ill., J.L. Bohannon of St. Louis, Don Bohannon of Kenner, La., Glen Bohannon of Wilmington, N.C., and Larry Bohannon of Lebanon, Ohio; two sisters, Mable Merrick of Sikeston and Dorothy Moore of Hartford, Ill.; and four grandchildren, Philip Bohannon, Justin Bohannon and Karen Bohannon of Sikeston and Ben Bohannon of Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by one son, Mark Bohannon, two brothers, Gerald Bohannon and John Bohannon, and two sisters, Iva Mae Laub and Norma Pratt.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Glen Bohannon officiating.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
