BERNIE - Ida Ozella Johnson, 76, died Aug. 29, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born Oct. 25, 1925, at Black Oak, Ark., daughter of the late Lonnie T. and Janie Vanhosser Hampton, she was a member of Northside General Baptist Church in Bernie. She worked for Brown Shoe Company at Bernie for 31 years before retiring.

On Feb. 1, 1947, at Weona, Ark., she married James A. Johnson who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Rhonda Johnson of Dexter; one brother, Ira Hampton of Clarkton; and two granddaughters, Misty S. Johnson and Sarah Marie Johnson of Dexter.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. O.H. Brooks and the Rev. Tim Ingles will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
