Floyd Grissom
DEXTER - Floyd Edmond Grissom, 84, died Feb. 7, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.
Born Aug. 4, 1917, in Mount Pleasant, Ark., son of the late William Silas and Ollie Wolford Grissom, he was a custodian for Intertherm Heating and Cooling in St. Louis before retiring and was of the Baptist belief.
On Jan. 31, 1941, at Melbourne, Ark., he married Clara Mabel McGuire who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, William Edmond Grissom of Dexter and Donald Jack Grissom of Cat Spring, Texas; one daughter, Pansy Dowden of Greenwood, Ind.; one sister, Rhea Melton of Wenatchee, Wash.; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, John Grissom, Claude Grissom and Oscar Grissom; and two sisters, Edith Weaver and Anna Newell.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with Karen Oldham officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
