SIKESTON - Marilyn Gail Sexton, 56, died at 1:32 a.m. Sept. 2, 2002, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born Dec. 3, 1945, in East Prairie, daughter of the late Leamon "Bud" and Opal Lyons Markland, she was a waitress for area restaurants in Sikeston and had also been associated with the Meals on Wheels Program. She was a member of Living Grace Fellowship Church in Sikeston.

Survivors include: one daughter, Krystal Chesmore of Sikeston; one stepson, Ronnie Sexton of Sikeston; one stepdaughter, Tawnya Stanley of Sikeston; two brothers, Donald Markland and Terry Markland of Sikeston; one sister, Veronica "Ronnie" Sadler of Morley; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. Thursday until service time at 11 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Ron Sexton, pastor of Living Grace Fellowship Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Donald Markland, Jason Young, David Leonard, Todd Markland, Steve Sadler and Chuck Chesmore.
