SIKESTON-Two individuals were honored by their peers for their hard work and dedication at Cott Beverages located in Sikeston.
Mike Sisney and Mike Lindsey received awards at the December Employee Appreciation Dinner.
Sisney, an employee with Cott since 2000, was selected as Sikeston's Employee of the Year.
The award is chosen collectively by the employees and is given to an individual who shows consistent commitment and dedication to the team. "He is a vital member of the first shift sanitation department and a worthy recipient of the award," said company officials in making the announcement. Willie Clemons, last year's Employee of the Year, presented the award to Sisney.
The Ron Duckworth Achievement Award was presented to Lindsey, who has been employed at Cott since 1994 as a batch blend technician.
The award is named for Ron Duckworth who held the position of logistics manager at Sikeston from 1994 until his death in May 2000. It is given annually to an employee who exhibits the same attributes and qualities that made Duckworth such an valuable member of the Sikeston operation.
Jim Skaggs, last year's recipient, was on hand to present the award to Lindsey.
