Dink Wilkerson

BENTON -- Dennis "Dink" Wilkerson, 58, died Feb. 15, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston after complications from injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident Aug. 20, 2001.

Born May 5, 1944, in Fisk, son of the late Orville and Margie Wilkerson, he was formerly employed with Fru-Con Construction and Engineering. A member of the Morley Lodge 184 AM&FM, he was of the Pentecostal belief.

On Feb. 2, 1963, at Fisk, he married Elaine Peck who survives of the home.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Brenda Wilkerson of Bloomfield and Gary and Cindy Herch of Camanche, Iowa; three brothers, Bob Wilkerson of Blodgett, Bill Wilkerson of Humboldt, Tenn., and Garry Wilkerson of Benton; two sisters, Ada Lee Hamilton and Jeanette Massey of Benton; and four grandchildren, David, Daniel, Sara and Kelli.

One brother, A.C. Wilkerson, and one sister, Joyce Hicks, preceded him in death.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at the White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Sonny Floyd and Rev. Leroy Young will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
