SIKESTON -- Julie Harbin-Cook and Donald Jason Snell exchanged wedding vows in a 3 p.m. ceremony Aug. 7, 2004, at the First Christian Church in Sikeston. Dr. Allen Shriver, senior pastor, performed the ceremony. Reader was Ken Harbin, of Lone Oak, Ky., brother of the bride.
Parents of the bride are Dr. and Mrs. Sam Harbin of Sikeston, and the bridegroom is the son of Jane Batey of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Music for the occasion was provided by vocalists Patti and Steve McPheeters and musician Sharron Lathum.
Candlelighters were Sam and Karen Cook of Birmingham, Ala., son and daughter-in-law of the bride.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. Lauren Phillips of Springfield attended her sister as matron of honor. Junior bridesmaids were Jennifer Snell and Jillian Snell of Belleville, Ontario, Canada, and daughters of the bridegroom.
Donald Griffin of Belleville, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, served as best man.
Ushers were Sam Cook of Birmingham, son of the bride, and Ryan Phillips and Evan Phillips of Springfield and Taylor Harbin of Lone Oak, nephews of the bride.
Guestbook attendant was Mary Harbin of Lone Oak, sister-in-law of the bride; and program attendant was Jordan Harbin of Lone Oak, nephew of the bride.
A reception was held in the church Family Life Center, where guests were served by Anne Wade, Kelly Wade, Karen Cook and Mary Harbin.
Following a honeymoon to Niagara Falls, the couple is residing in Belleville.
