SIKESTON - Geraldine Watkins, 92, died March 4, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Oct. 21, 1910, in Grant City, daughter of the late Samuel and Viola Lawrence Pratt, she was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Bell City. She retired as a cook for Bell City Schools.

On Oct. 14, 1927, she married Clarence "Bud" Watkins who preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 1957.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ailene Haynes; and two sons, Sammy Watkins and Jimmy Watkins.

Survivors include: six sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Ellen Watkins of Bell City, Gerald and Lynn Watkins of Lillian, Ala., Bobby and Darlene Watkins of North Las Vegas, Nev., Lonnie and Katie Watkins of Essex, Gary and Linda Watkins of Denver, Colo., and Ronnie and Susan Watkins of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Raymond Stovall of Bell City; one daughter-in-law, Effie Lee Watkins of Sikeston; and 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Visitation will continue from 1 p.m. Thursday until service time at 2 p.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church in Bell City.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
