Mary K. Bohannon
PANA, Ill. - Mary K. Bohannon, 63, died at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 21, 2005, at her residence in Pana.
Born May 18, 1941, in Luxora, Ark., to the late Luther Franklin and Agnes Augusta Gaines Kesler, she lived in rural Sikeston, Mo., until moving to Pana in 1965. A graduate of Morehouse (Mo.) High School, she was the owner of Bohannon's Jewelry and Gifts at Pana for 27 years, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pana and a member-at-large of Delta Theta Tau Sorority in Pana.
On Dec. 24, 1959, in Morehouse, she married John Robert Bohannon, who survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Ann Elizabeth Little of Taylorville, and Debra Lynn and Georg Pohlmann of Lockport; four brothers, L.F. "Sonny" Kesler and Leon Kessler of Crawford, Miss., Donnie Kesler of Columbus, Miss., and Gary Kesler of Oran, Mo.; two sisters, Inez Uhls Fiehler of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Doris Wylie of Sikeston; and three grandsons.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the McCracken-Dean Funeral Home in Pana where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. In-Sook Hwang will officiate.
Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery at Pana.
