Stella Pikey
BLOOMFIELD - Stella M. Pikey, 88, died March 1, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Sept. 13, 1914, in Portageville, daughter of the late Tom and Laucinda Hawkins White, she was a farmer and a member of the Church of God in the Jay-Y Community.
On Jan. 3, 1934, in New Madrid, she married Cecil Pikey who preceded her in death on June 8, 1972.
Survivors include: three sons, James Earl Pikey of Burton, Mich., and Cecil Pikey Jr. and Thomas Nelson Pikey of Scott City; one daughter, Linda L. Rampley of Bloomfield; one brother, Claude White of Marston; two sisters, Dorothy Kirby of Marston and Ruth Brown of Fenton, Mich.; and 10 grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, four stepgreat-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Alice Pikey; and five brothers and one sister.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Howard Kirby will officiate.
Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
