Nina Pennington
BLOOMFIELD - Nina M. Pennington, 78, died Feb. 27, 2003, at her home.
Born March 18, 1924, at New Madrid, daughter of the late Homer and Leona Widows Henson, she was of the Baptist belief and a resident of Bloomfield where she formerly worked as an employee of Elder Manufacturing.
In 1970, in Sikeston, she married Bill Pennington who preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1984.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Elsie Lively, Gladys Baker, Lillian Cox, Charlotte Henson and Emmy Henson.
Survivors include: one son, Jasper Pennington of Dexter; two daughters, Glenda Foreman of Pooler, Ga., and Delores Phillips of Dexter; two stepson, the Rev. Bill Pennington of Bloomfield and the Rev. Jerry Pennington of Puxico; one stepdaughter, Darlene Willard of Cedar Hill; one sister, Delphia Higdon of Sikeston; and 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Bill Pennington officiating.
Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
