Peggy Ward

HAYWARD -- Mary E. "Peggy" Ward, 84, died at 5:45 a.m. Oct. 21, 2002, at her home.

Born April 2, 1918, in Portageville, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Cora Swift Hall.

On Jan. 15, 1938, in Portageville, she married Robert "June" Ward who preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 1991.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Jimmie Nell Ward of Portageville; one daughter-in-law and husband, Carol and Jim Memke of St. Charles; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Margarita Hall of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Alene Reid of the state of California; four grandchildren and their spouses, Mark and Roxann Ward of Edwardsville, Ill., Cheryl and Rudy Reiner of St. Charles, Sheila and Roland Jones of Portageville and Matthew and Chris Ward of Pontoon Beach, Ill.; and five great-grandchildren, Sherrie Dorris, Megan Dorris, Zachary D. Ward, Madeline Ward and Anne Reiner.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Dickie Joe Ward on May 20, 1986; two sisters, Lucille Catsinas and Virginia Grover; and three brothers, W.L. Hall, Bill Hall and Richard Hall.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. James McCulloch will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Lewis Rone, Mark Ellis, Jake Fisher, Joe Elrod, Phil Underwood and Mike Johnson.
