DES PERES - Marada Jenkins, 100, died Feb. 24, 2003, at the Des Peres Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 1, 1903, in Stoddard County, daughter of the late John Berry and Martha Price Allen, she was a teacher in the Walnut Grove School District and was of the Protestant belief.
On Oct. 6, 1923, in St. Louis, she married Clarence H. Jenkins who preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1990.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Allen C. and Phillis K. Jenkins of Kirkwood; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. Friday until service time at 11:30 a.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Clifford Wray will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
