Dean Lemons

GIPSY - Larry "Dean" Lemons, 43, died Feb. 25, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Aug. 25, 1959, in Gipsy, son of Ethel Porter Lemons of Gipsy and the late William "Willie" Lemons, he was employed by VIP in Cape Girardeau for 20 years and was a member of the Berrong General Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to his mother include: six brothers, Truman Lemons of Cape Girardeau, Charlie Lemons and Tommy Lemons of Marble Hill, Ivan Lemons of Zalma, Harold Lemons of Sturdivant and Terry Lemons of Scott City; and six sisters, Dorothy Richmond of Bridgeton, Ruth Hefner of McGee, Linda Siler of Puxico, Peggy Stepp of Arab, Barbara Masters of Virginia Beach, Va., and Shirley Chesnut of Jacksonville.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. LeeRoy Hefner and the Rev. Bob Porter will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Berrong Cemetery at Gipsy.
