Pearl Jeffries Tadlock

SIKESTON - Pearl Hazel Jeffries Tadlock, 95, died at 3:20 a.m. Oct. 7, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Feb. 17, 1907, in Blodgett, daughter of the late James William and Martha Ann Hodges Burns, she was a member of Tanner Street Church of God.

On April 4, 1926, at Benton, she married Leonard W. Jeffries who preceded her in death on July 11, 1968. She and Arthur Tadlock were married Sept. 2, 1978, in Sikeston and he died on May 22, 1987.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Marsha Jeffries of Leawood, Kan., and Ben and Merlene Jeffries of Sikeston; six daughters and sons-in-law, Bernita "Bunny" and Robert Cooper of Bertrand, Joyce and Jim Jones of Benton, Shirley and Frank Stuckey of Washington, Mo., and Marilyn and Charles Bramlett, Martha "Marty" and Ron Payne and Karen and Joseph "Bob" Williams of Sikeston; one stepdaughter and son-in-law, Marlene and David Ferguson of Michigan; two daughters-in-law, Ruth Jeffries of Sikeston and Luella Jeffries of Festus; three sisters, Ruth Phillips and Ruby McCoy of Sikeston and Bertie Cullins of Bertrand; and 37 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three sons, Gene Jeffries, Roger Jeffries and Bill Jeffries; one stepson, James Vernon Tadlock; three brothers, one sister, one grandchild, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tanner Street Church of God with the Rev. Carl Addison, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Mike Jeffries, Kyle Jeffries, Eugene Jeffries, Jason Jeffries, Jim Stone, Rick Jones, Richard Bramlett, Ron Payne II and Joe Williams.
