ESSEX -- Bell City chalked up its second straight uncontested victory on Friday night, blistering winless Richland, 122-52.

The Cubs came out on fire, scoring 41 points in the first quarter and 33 in the second to take a commanding 74-19 halftime lead.

Bell City substituted the entire second half, coasting to the 70-point victory. On Tuesday, the Cubs rolled past Chaffee 110-40.

"We knew going into the week that we were probably going to get two wins," admitted Bell City head coach David Heeb, "but we wanted to come out with good intensity in both games. We accomplished that goal."

Bell City hit 13 three-pointers in the win and had five players finish in double figures. Dominitrix Johnson led the way with 29 points, followed by A.J Henry with 19, Eric Henry with 19, Kenyon Wright with 14 and Derek Pobst with 12.

"We shot over 60 percent from the 3-point line on Tuesday, and I would bet we approached that mark again tonight," said Heeb. "Since Christmas, we have probably shot over 60 percent (from the 3-point line)."

Richland was led by Scott McGarity's 20 points. James Wheeler contributed 13 in the loss. Bell City (11-2) will host Puxico on Tuesday. Richland (0-9) will travel to Gideon on Tuesday. "The thing we've been preaching since day one is that we've got to be balanced," said Heeb. "Dominitrix and Eric were scoring a lot for us early in the year, and we've been trying to get the other kids involved, getting them more shots. It seems to be coming along nicely."

PORTAGEVILLE -- Portageville overcame a sluggish start to beat Scott Central on Friday night, 80-59.

The Bulldogs fell behind 20-13 in the first quarter, but rallied with a 28-12 run in the second frame to lead 41-32 at halftime. Portageville then outscored the Braves 46-23 in the second half to pull out the win.

Aaron Bidewell had another big night for the Bulldogs, scoring a game-high 23 points. Willie Hassell and Antonio Scott each contributed 12 points in the win.

For Scott Central, Daniel Holman led the way with 19 points, followed by Ernest McCray with 12.

Portageville (8-3) will travel to Caruthersville on Tuesday. Scott Central (5-7) will host Kelly on Tuesday.

SENATH -- Hayti posted its second straight convincing victory on Friday night, handling Rivercrest in the Senath-Hornersville Tournament, 74-46.

Dallas Winda had another big night for the Indians, scoring 29 points. William Moore contributed 16.

Hayti played Gosnell in the championship game of the tournament on Saturday. In a win over Senath on Friday, Gosnell's 6-foot-8 junior Jeremy Parnell had a triple-double with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 10 blocked shots.

SCOTT CITY -- Mark Dannenmueller scored 12 points, Darren Willey added 11 and D.J. Walton contributed 10 as Scott City blew past Chaffee on Friday night, 72-42.
