Gary Waldron

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Gary R. Waldron, 44, died Jan. 22, 2003, near his home.

Born Sept. 15, 1958, son of Grace Waldron, who survives of Oakland Park, Fla., and the late Wayne Waldron, he was a 20-year veteran of the Palm Beach County Fire Department. He was recently assigned to head Station 45 at Delray Beach, where he trained rookie firefighters.

In 1993, he married Cindy Ziegenhorn, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother are two sons, Justin Waldron of Orlando and Mark DePauw of the home; one daughter, Melissa Waldron of Orlando; a sister, Betty Davis of McComb, Miss.; a brother, Wayne Waldron of Tamarac, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Ruth Anne Ziegenhorn and brother-in-law, David Ziegenhorn, both of Sikeston; and a sister-in-law, Rebecca Ziegenhorn of Springfield, Mo.

Services were conducted Saturday with full firefighter's rites at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in West Palm Beach.
