POPLAR BLUFF - Norman Lee Campbell, 46, formerly of Sikeston, died unexpectedly Nov. 15, 2002, in Poplar Bluff.

Born June 7, 1956, in Dexter, son of Robert Lee Campbell of Wappapello and Eunice Marie Campbell of Sikeston, he had attended school in Sikeston and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the Poplar Bluff Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was employed as a carpenter and electrician and was of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors in addition to his parents include: his former wife, Rhonda Campbell of Kennett; two sons, Matthew Campbell of Memphis, Tenn., and Roman Lee Campbell of Kennett; one daughter, Robin Campbell Martinez of Irving, Texas; one stepson, Howard of Kennett; two sisters, Frances Hays of Sikeston and Sheila Hays of Wappapello; one grandson, Andrew Jacob Martinez of Irving;

One sister, Rose Marie Johnson, preceded him in death.

Services were conducted Wednesday at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee, officiating.

Full military graveside rites were conducted at the Gregory Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were: Stephen Hays, Larry Johnson, Stephen R. Polley, Chris A. Polley, David Worley and Dennis W. Hays.
