BORGER, Texas - Lois Marie Hahs Harvey, 82, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Feb. 18, 2003, in Amarillo.

Born July 1, 1920, in Sikeston, daughter of the late J. Otto and Lena Smith Hahs, she lived in Borger since 1978. She had taught school at Hugoton, Kan.; Dumas, Texas; and Beaver, Okla., before retiring and was a member of Chapter CS of PEO Sisterhood and the First United Methodist Church.

On April 15, 1945, in Sikeston, she married John Harvey who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four sons and daughters-in-law, John W. and Liz Harvey of Gainesville, Fla., James E. and Jody Harvey of Sumter, S.C., Richard L. and Carolyn Harvey of Del City, Okla., and Roger A. and Karen Harvey of Fort Collins, Colo.; four brothers, William Hahs and James Hahs of Sikeston, Charles Hahs of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Tom Hahs of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Lucille Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Minton Chatwell Funeral Home in Borger.

Visitation will continue fro 9:30 a.m. Saturday until service time at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Terry, pastor, officiating.

Cremation will follow the services and burial will be scheduled at a later date.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Ashley Harvey Radin, Tim Harvey, Thad Harvey, Jason Harvey, Brian Harvey, Jessica Harvey and Brady Marie Harvey.

Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren: Isaac Harvey Radin and Michaella Elizabeth Harvey.
