Louise Boston
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Louise Boston, 93, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 19, 2003, at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
Born Aug. 22, 1909, in Murray, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Herman and Zadie Wells Bridges. She was co-owner and operator of Boston's Grocery and Boston's Dairy Cream in Sikeston, where she was also a member of Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church.
On June 2, 1928, in Cairo, Ill., she married Roy C. Boston who preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1986.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Diana Johnson Boston of Little Rock; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Riddle of Mayfield, Ky., and Willa Mae Miller of Anna, Ill.; and three grandchildren, Mark Boston of Providence, R.I., Chrissy Boston of Columbia, Md., and Leigh Ann Pruitt of Herndon, Va.
Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from noon today until service time at 2 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Rufus McLean, pastor of Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Harry Sharp III, Abe Hunter, Charles David Springs, Glenn Barks, Jason Eaton and Lee Matthews.
