Edison Taylor

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Edison "Curly" Taylor, 83, formerly of LaForge, died at 1:50 a.m. Nov. 8, 2002, at his daughter's home.

Born March 8, 1919, in Loretta, Tenn., son of the late James David and Alice Pugh Taylor, he was of the Baptist belief and was a self-employed painter.

On April 13, 1938, at Lilbourn, he married Myra Haubold who preceded him in death on Jan. 13, 1996.

Survivors include: two sons, Bob Taylor of Dexter and Terry Taylor of Springfield, Ill.; three daughters, Kay Ellis of Elkhart, Ind., and Barbara Greaser and Brenda Glueck of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Exia Dolan of Jackson, Vida Eby of Whitewater and Irene Stringfellow of Chaffee.

He was preceded in death by two sons and four brothers.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Fairmount Cemetery with with the Rev. Casey Taylor, officiating.
