SIKESTON - Elameda Napier, 65, died at 8:05 a.m. Feb. 13, 2003, at her home.

Born March 24, 1937, in Netherlands, Mo., daughter of Sarah G. Hobbs Wade of Chaffee and the late James G. Wade, she was of the Protestant belief. She had lived in Sikeston for 27 years before moving to Illinois in 1986 and returned to Sikeston in May 1998.

On Feb. 26, 1955, at Lilbourn, she married Carl W. Napier who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Debbie and David A. Patton and Pam Turner of Sikeston; one brother and sister-in-law, James G. and Ilene Wade Jr. of Advance; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Robbie J. and Albert A. Napier of DeSoto and Shirley A. and Jack Owens of Scott City; and four grandchildren, David W. Patton, Kristi S. Patton, Carla Turner and Nathan Turner of Sikeston.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Monday until service time at 1 p.m. at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Matthew Butrum, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church and chaplain for the Visiting Nurse Association, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: James Robert Wade, David M. Wade, Darrell G. Wade, Albert "Bert" Napier Jr., Timothy W. Napier and David W. Patton.
