Nellie Caldwell

SIKESTON - Nellie Mae Caldwell, 83, died at 6:37 p.m. Feb. 13, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Aug. 23, 1919, in Crowder, daughter of the late Henry Jackson and Annie Mae Tippy Kindred, she was a vamper for the International Shoe Factory and member of the Church of God.

On Aug. 15, 1957, in Hernando, Miss., she married Jasper Caldwell who preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1976.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Lorene and David O'Neal of Sikeston; four grandchildren, Nancy Northern, Linda McClendon and Tim O'Neal of Sikeston and Judy Campbell of Dexter; and four great-grandchildren, Tiffany O'Neal, Christian McClendon and Heather Northern of Sikeston and Jacob Campbell of Dexter.

One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. George Roberts of Springtown and the Rev. Ira Sandefer, pastor of Smith Avenue Church of God, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: David O'Neal, Tony Northern, Tim O'Neal, Jason Schreiber, Jim Milam and Jim O'Neal.
