Evelyn Taylor

SIKESTON - Evelyn Taylor, 82, died Dec. 20, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Aug. 20, 1920, in Charleston, daughter of the late Luther Roy and Alpha Elizabeth Baker, she was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

On May 4, 1938, she married Clay Taylor who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, David Clay Taylor of Lathrop, Calif.; one daughter, Elizabeth A. Prince of Sonora, Calif.; one brother, Marion Luther Baker of Russellville, Tenn.; and two sisters, Judith B. Burnett and Doris Livingston of Sikeston.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred N. Thrower and Nina Kathleen Baker.

Visitation is from noon Monday until service time at 2 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe McCullough, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
