Ulyes Brumley
WYATT - Ulyes C. Brumley, 79, died at 3:02 a.m. Feb. 6, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Sept. 16, 1923, in Mississippi County, son of the late Grover C. and Della D. Miller Brumley, he was a lifelong resident of Wyatt where he was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired construction worker.
On Oct. 10, 1948, he married Ellen Murphy who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Dennie Brumley of Wyatt and Barry Brumley of Powder Springs, Ga.; two daughters, Teresa DeLong of Snellville, Ga., and Kim Holland of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Earline Hinchey and Sarah Pullen of Wyatt and Ruth Ann George of Bertrand; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Seven brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Dean Wallace, pastor of the Wyatt Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
