SIKESTON - Jeanette Ramsey, 63, died at 9:42 p.m. Feb. 7, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Born May 3, 1939, in Itta-Bena, Miss., daughter of Naomi Holmes Moore Manning of Pocahontas, Ark., and the late Fontell Moore, she had been employed by the Presbyterian Daycare Center in Sikeston. A member of Laureate Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, she was also a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church...

SIKESTON - Jeanette Ramsey, 63, died at 9:42 p.m. Feb. 7, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 3, 1939, in Itta-Bena, Miss., daughter of Naomi Holmes Moore Manning of Pocahontas, Ark., and the late Fontell Moore, she had been employed by the Presbyterian Daycare Center in Sikeston. A member of Laureate Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, she was also a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

On July 28, 1965, in Sikeston she married L.D. Ramsey who preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 1975.

Survivors include: one stepson, Jim Ramsey of Nashville, Tenn.; one stepdaughter, Mary Ellen Johnson of Sikeston; one brother, Bobbie Moore of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Annette Duzdan of Reyno, Ark., Sherry Mount of Round Lake Beach, Ill., and Karen Segraves of Memphis, Tenn.; three stepgrandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren; and a special friend, Gene Estes of Cape Girardeau.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Monday until service time at 1 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Randy Lemons, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
