CHARLESTON -- Pauline McClean Hess, 85, died at 1:45 p.m. Feb. 9, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Nov. 9, 1917, at Cadogap, Ark., daughter of the late Will and Cumi Bell McClean, she had lived most of her life in Mississippi County where she was a member of the Wyatt United Methodist Church.
On Jan. 21, 1938, she married Bruce R. Hess who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Andy French of Charleston; one brother, Bud McClean of Hot Springs, Ark.; one granddaughter and her husband, Patricia and Brad Warren; two grandsons and their wives, Andrew and Kathy French and James and Kathy French; and four great-grandchildren, Cole Reichert, Hunter Warren, Jason French and Kara French.
One daughter, Mary Melinda Hess-Baker, and three sisters, Anna McClean, Ena Williams and Ethel Breedlove, preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Dean Wallace, pastor of the Wyatt Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Donald Baker, James Allen French, Andrew French, Brad Warren, Donald Moore and Bill Feezor.
