Linus Dannenmueller
CHAFFEE - Linus Otto Dannenmueller, 81, died at 12:20 a.m. Nov. 5, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 14, 1921, in Oran, son of the late Zeno Nicholas and Dena Katherine Schlitt Dannenmueller, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired as a machine operator from Florsheim Shoe Company in Chaffee. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, St. Ambrose Men's Club, Elks Lodge, American Legion Post 389 and Knights of Columbus Council 4311.
On Dec. 29, 1948, he married Mary Amos who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Gary Dannenmueller of Clarksville, Tenn.; one daughter, Joyce Loucks of Chaffee; one sister, Myrtle Golightly of Mary Ester, Fla.; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One sister and one brother preceded him in death.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where parish prayers at 6:30 p.m. will be followed by Elks rites at 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Danny Loucks, Wayne Darke, Cliff Pobst, Nelson Amos, Max Amos and Bob Schwepker.
