Viola Timmons

HAYWOOD CITY -- Viola Timmons, 59, died Nov. 1, 2002, at her daughter's home in Haywood City.

Born Dec. 18, 1942, in Swan Lake, Miss., daughter of the late Joe Lewis and Elmon Phiffer Coleman, she was a member of the New Morning Star Baptist Church in Haywood City.

In 1960, she married Mayfield Timmons Jr. who preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Lou Timmons Thomas of Haywood City, Elnora A. and Otto Porter of Cape Girardeau and Decarol Yvonne Timmons of St. Louis; five sons, Mayfield and Bernadett Timmons of Elkhart, Ind., Anthony Lewis and Charlyn Timmons of Haywood City, Dean Ray and Lynn Timmons of Moreno Valley, Calif., Randy and Kathy Timmons of Sikeston and Marcus Darius Timmons of Melbourn, Australia; and 19 grandchildren.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at the New Morning Star Baptist Church. The Rev. Alex Sims will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Haywood City Cemetery.
