PORTAGEVILLE - Sybil Marie Hurley, 86, died Nov. 28, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare in New Madrid.
Born May 11, 1916, in Cypress, Ill., daughter of the late Adam and Dollie Alexander Johnson, she was a restaurant owner before retiring and was a member of the Conran Baptist Church.
Her husband, Roy Hurley, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Rondal Hurley of Portageville and Vernon Hurley of St. Peters; two daughters, Carolyn Wilson of Batesville, Ark., and Dottie Broughton of New Madrid; two brothers, Lorne Johnson of Metropolis, Ill., and Clyde Johnson, address unavailable; and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Lodema Hutchinson; two brothers, James Johnson and Claude Johnson; one sister, Irene Stanley; a foster son whom she raised, Raymond Rodgers; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Brown and Susan Wilson.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until service time at 2 p.m. at DeLisle Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Dry Bayou Cemetery near Hayti.
