SIKESTON - Bobby Pearson, 55, died Jan. 25, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Oct. 21, 1947, in Commerce, son of Woodrow Pearson of Commerce and the late Lillie Mae Allen Pearson, he attended Thomas W. Kelly High School in Benton. He returned to Sikeston after serving in the U.S. Army from 1967-73. Pearson was employed by Noranda Aluminum in New Madrid County for 25 years.

On Oct. 15, 2001, he married Twana Mills who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and father include: one daughter, Carisa Blissett of Sikeston; three sons, Dwayne Wiggens, Louis Wiggens and Michael Winfield of Sikeston; five brothers, Jimmy Pearson of Goose Creek, S.C., Kenneth Pearson of Kansas City, Larry Pearson of Baton Rouge, La., Lonnie Pearson of Cape Girardeau and Terry Pearson of Cincinnati, Ohio; and five sisters, Barbara Blissett of Bowling Green, Ky., Beverly Pearson, Joyce Pearson and Linda Williamson of Sikeston and Evelyn Brown of Shipman, Ill.

Two brothers preceded him in death.

Visitation is from noon Friday until service time at 1 p.m. at the Freewill Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Victor Williams will officiate.

Burial will follow in Sunset of Memories Cemetery.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
