SIKESTON - William Dwight Jones, 74, of Sikeston Route 3 died at 5:35 a.m. Jan. 25, 2003, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born March 22, 1928, in Sikeston to Annell Lee Lambert Jones, who survives of Sikeston, and the late William Wood Jones, he was affiliated with the Church of Christ and was a self-employed farmer. A member of the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II, he was a member of the American Legion Post 114 and Eagles Aerie 3319 in Sikeston.

In 1953, he married Charlotte Lee Burch, who preceded him in death in 1978.

In addition to his mother he is survived by two sons, William A. Jones of Sikeston and Johnny P. Jones of Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter, Brenda R. Toschi of Madera, Calif.; three stepsons, Jimmy Gregg and Robby Jones of the state of Utah and Tony Womack of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Gene Jones of Sikeston; and six grandchildren, Angie Toschi, Andy Toschi and Kristi Jones of Madera, Calif., Johnny J. Jones and Toma Downing of Sikeston and Paul Downing of Louisville, Ky.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Pat Hogan, minister of the Shady Acres Church of Christ, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
