Charlene Hillhouse

CHARLESTON - Charlene Kunz Hillhouse, 81, died at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 24, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Aug. 7, 1921, in Wyatt, daughter of the late Charles Anthony and Anna Lee Hutcheson Kunz, she lived her entire life in Mississippi County and was a member of the Wyatt United Methodist Church.

On April 9, 1942, she married Glenn Marshall Hillhouse Sr. who preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1986.

Survivors include: one son, Glenn M. Hillhouse Jr. of Charleston; three daughters, Patricia H. Finney of Nashville and Marilyn J. Hillhouse and Margaret H. Dean of Charleston; one sister, Louise Kunz Moreton of Wyatt; and five grandchildren.

One sister, Marion Kunz Shively, preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. today at the family home. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at the Wyatt United Methodist Church with Rev. Harold Norton, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Steele, officiating.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: her grandsons, Benjamin Hillhouse, Clayton Hillhouse, Christopher Layton and David Finney, and cousin Richard Hutcheson.
